New summary of plan showcases river and rail possibilities

By March 27, 2014January 8th, 2015#riverfrontfw, Infrastructure

Fort Wayne’s rivers, rails, and trails are set to become significant cultural and tourism assets. The city’s three rivers will meet within a future riverfront district. An ever-expanding trail network will link city suburbs with downtown. Two ribbons of rail are poised to connect area attractions, retail, entertainment, green spaces downtown.

In anticipation for SWA Group’s return to Fort Wayne in March, we published a new executive summary to succinctly highlight the possibilities along the riverfront. During SWA’s visit, they repeated that development needed to be “authentic” and “unique” to Fort Wayne.

You can download the new executive summary here to learn how it would support the development that SWA Group advocates.

We want to look at those items that were there historically, and use the idea of them to inform new development.
