From an exciting interpretive facility where you can control a full-size locomotive to specialized RailCamp sessions, visitors of all ages will get up close and personal with the industry and innovation that put Fort Wayne on the map. Annual events, seasonal train rides, and sensory experiences await.
Programs like RailCamp will bring teenagers and young adults from around the country to learn how to restore and operate full-size trains. With science, technology, history, and math helping forge the curriculum, students will be exposed to a variety of hands-on crafts and trades.
Headwaters Junction is a mixed-use tourist attraction conceived and developed by the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society, Inc, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in concert with SWA Group, Lynchpin Creative, and the City of Fort Wayne with the cooperation of Norfolk Southern.
